FR No. 20 is spending 2009 as working locomotive in residence at Locomotion - the National Railway Museum at Shildon, County Durham. As well as a starring exhibit, the engine is also regularly used to haul trains on the demonstration line within the museum. Here it is seen at the old Shildon goods shed with Alan Middleton and Tim Owen of the FRT on the footplate.
Even the poster for the former Victorian Evening special trains starring FR 20 was a bit special! It was designed by Phil Cousins, and is based around a Furness Railway company original publicity poster, and also incorporates Roger Street's limited edition print of the engine in action.
